Lilypie Pregnancy tickers

Been a while - 12w 5d - Katie are you out there? ;)

So not much to report for the last few weeks.

Maternity pants have arrived and are hear to stay, for now I am in the natural waist pants.  Maternity shirts are only for personal time & at work polos - sexy, I know!  But they are so shapeless that they are hiding my pudge/bump mix.

I have been feeling pretty good - back is a bit sore, getting some stretching pains in my tummy & my boobs are getting bigger (this week I switched to sports bras 24/7).

My first strech-mark (pair) has appeared!  Not even near where I thought it would be - AHHH  ::whispers right side of belly button below birthmark::  Let the fun begin!

Tomorrow is my First Trimester screening (NT scan & bloodwork).  I am excited, but nervous that they will not be able to get the baby to move so they can take the appropriate measurements.

OOOOOHH Can hardly wait until tomorrow!

Another lazy Sunday - 9w 3d

We had our first OB appointment last Thursday.  It was the first time I had been in that office since May 2009.  So naturally the receptionist set me up for a regular pap appointment.  Hmmm.  Apparently I was not clear enough when I said I was pregnant and my RE released me.  She also told me that my OB was too busy to see me & I needed to choose a new OB.  I had been seeing Dr C & the NP J for YEARS; now that I am pregnant I can't be their patient anymore!  I was furious, but figured maybe it would work out once I was able to speak to someone face to face.  Plus they were the ones who referred me to Dr G in the first place.  After calling in to see what I could expect from this appointment on Wednesday & realizing the mistake, I learned that there have been quite a few mix-ups with that particular receptionist.

So we met a new OB, who accommodated us due to the mix-up so that K could still be there.  We answered all the family health history questions.  When she brought the Doppler in, I asked if we were going to be able to do a u/s.  She said that only if we could not find the heartbeat with the Doppler.  To which I responded "Can't we pretend we could not find it?"  So off to the u/s machine.  It was not the best picture, but it was a picture!  It was hard for her to get a measurement, since the baby is in the bottom of the sack.  Dr H said we were measuring at least 8 weeks & that was fine since we were still within a day or two of how Dr G measured us.  The heart-rate was up to 171 bpm!  Plus 2 more pictures to add to our collection!

First ultrasound

Today was the 1st ultrasound!  It was SO amazing!  Going in I was nervous, excited and terrified.  K of course was calm as always.  Without further ado Baby Negs.....

First Picture!
Measuring 6w4d & .693cm
Heart Rate 122 bmp & .984 sec
Dr G was so sweet today.  I told her how I was nervous about where the little one implanted, so she viewed EVERY angle to reassure me that my fear was not warranted.  She also tried so hard to get us a good picture of the whole baby, we could see yolk sack, heartbeat then pole....no head.  Well there was a head, we just could not see it!  Already this baby is taking after me, I also don't like my picture taken either.  HA!

She was just as excited for me and K as I was (K was still calm & collected).  So I will be making sure to send her photos as they come.  She has been so fantastic.

Today was pretty amazing.  I was also told that I have a cyst - which explains the sharp pains I started having this morning.  Funny thing that cyst news used to be the big news at the ultrasound, this time she tried to hide it from me - so that I would not worry!  So baby on the left, cyst on the right!  SQEEE!  And I was released to my OB...who is booked until September, so I am going to meet with a new OB in that practice.

Today I am Pregnant & I am in Love with this baby!
